Golden Eagles fall to pair of Sioux Falls foes

PIERRE – Aberdeen Central was limited to just two hits in a pair of softball games on Friday. The Golden Eagles fell to Sioux Falls Jefferson 22-0 and to Sioux Falls Lincoln 21-1.

Jefferson exploded for 13 hits in the second inning of its win. The Cavaliers had 11 extra-base hits in the contest.

Lincoln also had a big inning against the Golden Eagles, plating 10 runs in the top of the first inning of its game. The Patriots received a double and a pair of home runs from Hayden Kok in the victory.

Alivia Roettele had Central’s lone hit in the second game, singling in the second inning and eventually scoring on a wild pitch.

Central faces Sioux Falls Washington and Sioux Falls Roosevelt today in Pierre.
