MINOT, N.D. – The Minot Minotauros scored a pair of third-period goals to rally past the Aberdeen Wings 3-2 in NAHL hockey action Friday night. The hosts scored on a power play to tie the game and then produced the game-winner on a short-handed goal in the closing minutes.

After Minot opened the scoring in the first period, Aberdeen scored back-to-back goals within 41 seconds of each other early in the second period to take the lead. David Hruby found the back of the net on assists from Herman Berggren and Jibber Kuhl. Less than a minute later Lucas Schaefer scored on assists from Keaton Weis and Hruby.

Minot owned a slight edge in shots on goal at 27-25. Adam Dybal finished with 24 saves for the Wings.

The Wings are now officially locked in as the third seed for the upcoming playoffs in the Central Division.

Minot and Aberdeen will conclude their weekend series tonight, before the Wings wrap up the regular season next weekend with a game at Watertown on Friday before hosting the Shamrocks on Saturday at the Odde Ice Center.
