Class B Track and Field Leaders

Area athletes top eight individual events in this week’s Class B track and field leaders.

That group is led by Northwestern’s Ella Boekelheide who has the fastest time in both the 800-meter and 1,600-meter runs.

Others who led open events include Ipswich’s Isabella Galbraith in the 3,200-meter run, Jalyssa Hutson in the pole vault, Kyle Hettich in the 100-meter dash, and Brody Davis in the pole vault. Other leaders are Faulkton’s Weston Senn in the javelin, and Northwestern’s Ty Boekelheide in the triple jump.

Those who currently have the second best times or distances include Madisyn Gellhaus of Ipswich in the 3,200, Warner’s Miah Leidholt in the high jump, North Central’s Peyton Schnabel in the pole vault, Warner’s Beckham Cantalope in the 110-meter high hurdles, Hettich in the 100, Wilmot’s Ethan Schwenn in the 400, Leola’s Jacob Kindelspire in the shot put, Warner’s Easton Bruns in the pole vault, and Dylan Hofer of Aberdeen Christian in the triple jump.

Other area girls in the leaders are Herreid-Selby Area’s Brenna Jochim who is third in the 100, followed by Marley Guthmiller of Ipswich in fifth, and Schnabel who is seventh, Guthmiller who is third in the 800, followed by Emma Schlachter of Gettysburg in fourth, Galbraith who is third in the 1,600, followed by Gellhaus in seventh, Warner’s Courtney Leidholt who is third in the pole vault, followed by Carleigh Dosch of North Central in seventh, Kaydee Mackner of Warner who is third in the long jump, followed by Jochim in sixth, Guthmiller who is fifth in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles, followed by Danika Kaup of Hoven in sixth, Jochim who is sixth in the 400, followed by Mackner in seventh, Sunshine Bible Academy’s Cierra Mickelson who is fifth in the high jump, followed by teammate Soleil Mickelson in seventh, Kendal Uttecht of Wolsey-Wessington who is sixth in the 400, followed by Guthmiller in seventh, Ipswich’s Tristan Geditz who is sixth in the shot put and seventh in the discus, and Kaup who is seventh in the 100 hurdles.

Area girls’ relay teams in the leaders are Northwestern which is third in the 1,600, followed by Ipswich in seventh, Ipswich which is third in the 3,200, followed by Gettysburg in fifth, and Warner in seventh, Wolsey-Wessington which is fourth in the sprint medley, followed by Ipswich in fifth, Warner which is seventh in the 400, and Wolsey-Wessington which is eighth in the 800.

Other area boys in the leaders are Cantalope who is third in the 300 hurdles, followed by Luke Kaiser of Aberdeen Christian in seventh, Logan LaBrie of Hitchcock-Tulare who is third in the 200, followed by Hofer in eighth, Kadyn Westergram of Sully Buttes who is third in the shot put, Tyson Schumacher of Herreid-Selby Area who is third in the triple jump, followed by LaBrie in fifth, Hudson Barber of Sully Buttes in sixth, and Terrance Mickelson of Sunshine Bible Academy in seventh, Jett Yackley of Sully Buttes who is fifth in the javelin, followed by Castlewood’s Brody Bass in sixth, and Kobe Wherry of North Central in eighth, Gavin Hirsch of Herreid-Selby Area who is sixth in the 1,600, Kaiser who is fifth in the 110 hurdles, Boekelheide who is eighth in the 400, Faulkton’s Korbin Stark who is eighth in the 3,200, and Warner’s Paxton Johnson who is sixth in the pole vault, followed by Ipswich’s Seth DeRaad in eighth.

Area boys’ relay teams in the leaders are Faulkton which is second in the 3,200, followed by Sunshine Bible Academy in seventh, Ipswich which is fourth in the 400, fifth in the 800, and eighth in the 1,600, and Frederick which is eighth in the 800, and eighth in the sprint medley.
