Class A Track and Field Leaders

Northeast Conference athletes from four different schools top individual events among Class A Track and Field Leaders this week.

Sam Rick of Milbank leads the field in both the pole vault (13-1) and the triple jump (46-0). He is also second in the long jump (21-9 ½).

Groton’s Keegen Tracy has the fastest time in the 100-meter dash (:10.99), is second in the 400 (:50.44), and eighth in the 200.

Oliver Fieber of Deuel has the top time in the 200 (:22.41), and Webster’s Matthew Mount has the top mark in the javelin (165-7).

Other area leaders in the boys’ division include Kellen Pfitzer of Mobridge-Pollock who is second in the discus with Mount fourth and Tate Everson of Hamlin eighth, Miller’s Isaak Hunter who is third in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles and fifth in the 110-meter high hurdles, Mount who is third in the shot put with Pfitzer fourth, and Michael Severson of Clark-Willow Lake sixth, Jakob Steen of Clark-Willow Lake who is fourth in the javelin, Trayden Stambach of Mobridge-Pollock who is fourth in the triple jump, Lucas Johnson of Great Plains Lutheran who is fifth in the high jump with Clark-Willow Lake’s Bo Begeman seventh, and Austin Fisher of Aberdeen Roncalli eighth, Harley Zemlicka of Milbank who is sixth in the 300 hurdles, Groton’s Jayden Schwan who is sixth in the 1,600 and eighth in the 3,200, GPL’s Milo Schumacher who is eighth in the 110 hurdles, Tracy who is eighth in the 200, and Bryton Blauert of Milbank who is eighth in the pole vault.

Area relay squads among the leaders are Deuel which is fifth in the 3,200, Milbank which is seventh in the 800, and Groton which is eighth in the sprint medley.

In the girls’ division, Bentley Bauer of Mobridge-Pollock is fourth in the long jump, sixth in the 100, and eighth in the 400.

Other area leaders include Cadence Bochek of Clark-Willow Lake who is fourth in the 400, Deuel’s Lauryn Peterreins who is fourth in the pole vault followed by Milbank’s Jacy Dexter in fifth, Deuel’s Hannah Cutshaw in sixth, and Webster’s Kenley Grewe in seventh, Eliza Larson of Clark-Willow Lake who is fifth in the shot put with Anna Neugebauer of Milbank in sixth, Abigail Lee of Britton-Hecla who is fifth in the triple jump, Ellie Kemnitz of Mobridge-Pollock who is sixth in the javelin followed by Daynika Zuehlke of Britton-Hecla in eighth, and Kamryn Nesheim of Clark-Willow Lake who is eighth in the 800.

Area relay squads among the leaders are Groton, which is sixth in the 800, and Clark-Willow Lake which is seventh in the 1,600, followed by Milbank in eighth.
