Brown powers Milbank Area boys to team title

MILBANK – Payton Brown of Milbank Area won the boys’ individual race to help lead the Bulldogs to the team championship at the Milbank Grandstay Invitational Cross Country Meet Saturday.

Brown led four Milbank runners among the top six place winners as the Bulldogs claimed the team crown.

Milbank’s James Batchelor was third, Bryan Mayer was fifth, and Isaac Graham was sixth.

Faith Wiese of Flandreau won the girls’ race to lead the Flyers to the team title. Milbank’s Ashlynn Batchelor was second with teammate Bianca Berry third. Madison Zirbel of Waubay-Summit was fifth.
