LANGFORD – Aberdeen Roncalli used a balanced attack on the way to a non-conference volleyball sweep over Langford Area Tuesday night 25-7, 25-16, 25-21.

The Cavaliers, playing without normal leading hitter Madi Bragg due to injury, had other players step up in the victory.

“Tonight was a well balanced match,” said Roncalli coach Mandy Smid. “The girls spread the attack around, and defensively kept some really scrappy plays alive to fuel our energy.”

Jeci Ewart and Ella Hanson each had eight kills, and Jaidyn Feickert served up five ace serves to power the Roncalli offense.

Defensively, Hanson finished with 16 digs and Ewart contributed nine. Hanson and Feickert also added a pair of assisted blocks.

Olivia Hanson dished out 19 assists.

Roncalli, 9-5 on the season, has a busy week in progress. The Cavaliers play at Clark-Willow Lake on Thursday, before hosting Belle Fourche on Friday in a 4 p.m. start at Roncalli Gym.
