SIOUX FALLS – Izzy Moore made two free throws with 0.6 seconds remaining to lift Northern State to a 56-54 women’s college basketball win over Black Hills State Friday afternoon.

Moore was fouled as she went in for a layup in the closing seconds. She made both foul shots to cap a major rally which saw the Wolves wipe out a 13-point halftime deficit.

Moore finished with 14 points in a balanced NSU attack. Megan Counts topped the Wolves with 16 points, Megan Fiedler contributed 12, and Taylor Tool added nine.

Northern, 2-1 on the season, has had three games go down to the wire to start the season. The Wolves lost in overtime, and then had a five-point victory, before Friday’s last-second win.

NSU will face School of Mines at 1 this afternoon in Sioux Falls before hosting Jamestown on Tuesday in its home opener at Wachs Arena.
