The Aberdeen Wings had a response throughout the first three periods, but came up short in a shootout, falling 4-3 to the North Iowa Bulls Friday night at the Odde Ice Center.

North Iowa scored first in each of the periods in regulation, before the Wings answered with goals to tie the score each time.

Keaton Weis found the back of the net in the opening period on assists from Taven James and Cooper Anderson.

Aberdeen’s Jibber Kuhl tied the game in the second period on assists from Easton Edwards and Matthew Martin.

Edwards provided the game-tying goal in the third on assists from Kuhl and Martin.

The contest eventually went to a shootout where the Bulls scored the only goal for the victory.

Willum Braun had 27 saves in goal for the Wings, who outshot North Iowa 43-30.

The same two teams are back at it tonight with a 7:15 puck drop from the Odde.
