FOREST LAKE, Minn. – The Aberdeen Wings allowed just 16 shots on goal en route to a 4-1 NAHL win over the Minnesota Mallards Saturday night.

After a scoreless first period, David Hruby opened the scoring for Aberdeen in the second period before Caden Lee found the back of the net for a two-goal lead heading into the final period.

Jibber Kuhl sandwiched a pair of goals around a score from the Mallards to account for the final margin of difference.

The Wings outshot Minnesota by a 43-16 margin. Willum Braun finished with 15 saves for Aberdeen.

Aberdeen clinched a playoff spot for the ninth straight year with a win over Watertown earlier in the week.

The Wings now return home to host St. Cloud on Friday and Saturday at the Odde Ice Center. Puck drop is set for 7:15 each night.
