Wings cap weekend sweep over North Iowa

MASON CITY, Iowa – The Aberdeen Wings received goals from six different players in a 6-2 NAHL hockey win over the North Iowa Bulls Saturday night.

The win was the second in two nights over North Iowa.

Sam Scheetz and Cooper Anderson each scored first-period goals for Aberdeen. Brody Dustin found the back of the net in the second period, before Jack McDonough, Zan Spari-Leben, and Caden Lee tacked on goals in the final period.

Owen Pitters assisted on three of the goals in the victory.

Willum Braun had 23 saves in net for the Wings.

The same two teams have a two-game series at the Odde Ice Center in Aberdeen next weekend.
