Miller sweeps team titles at own invitational

MILLER – Miller captured team championships in both divisions during its own track and field invitational on Tuesday. Wolsey-Wessington was runner-up in both division.

Redfield’s Camryn Rohlfs had a big day winning four open events. She claimed victories in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash and the long jump.

Moshe Richmond of Wolsey-Wessington had a hand in four events in the boys’ division, winning the high jump and running on first place 1,600-meter, medley and 3,200-meter relay squads.

Sully Buttes had a pair of girls’ double individual event winners. Stevie Wittler won the 100 and 300 hurdles, while Lydia Hill won the shot put and discus.

There were numerous athletes who won an open event and ran on multiple winning relay teams.

Faulkton’s Daniel Stoll won the 200, Roman DiMaria the 400, and both ran on first place 400 and 800 relay squads. Joey Hoverson of Wolsey-Wessington won the 100 and was a member of the winning 1,600 and medley relay teams. Northwestern’s Ella Boekelheide won the 800 and ran on first place medley and 3,200 relay squads.

Caleb Richmond of Wolsey-Wessington and Miller’s Jaden Werdel both ran on three winning relay units.
