CHADRON, Neb. – In a back-and-forth battle, Chadron State responded last with a game-winning shot in the closing seconds for a 74-73 non-conference men’s basketball win over Northern State Saturday afternoon.

James Glenn had put the Wolves ahead on a three-point field goal with nine seconds remaining. The hosts then scored with two seconds left and NSU missed a last-second shot at the buzzer.

The game was close throughout with 10 ties and 13 lead changes.

The score was tied at 62 and 65. The Eagles then scored back-to-back baskets for a 69-65 lead with 1:48 left. The margin remained at four until Glenn converted a conventional three-point play to slice the deficit to 71-70 with 50 seconds left.
