Clark sweeps past Miller in season opener

CLARK – The Clark Dinosaurs racked up 29 runs over 10 innings in a doubleheader sweep over the Miller Outlaws in high school baseball action on Monday.

Clark took the first game 12-2 as Charlie Luvaas allowed just two hits and struck out 10 in five winnings on the mound. The Dinosaurs took advantage of eight walks and five errors in the contest.

Caleb Drenth finished with three hits and three runs batted in during a 17-1 second game victory. Watson Grantham, Ernesto Garcia and Teague Stevenson each had two hits, while Cooper Pommer, Benett Pommer, Konrad Frankfurth, Garcia and Stevenson each knocked in a pair. Cooper Pommer and Drenth each had two-run triples in an 11-run fourth inning. Clark also took advantage of 11 walks and five errors in that victory.
