DULUTH, Minn. – The Northern State men’s basketball team dropped to .500 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference after an 81-65 setback to Minnesota-Duluth on Saturday.

The Wolves led just once in the game, 3-2, before the Bulldogs claimed a lead they never gave up.

James Glenn was the leading scorer for the Wolves with 16 points on the night, 12 of which came from beyond the 3-point line. Nelson Reynolds made his impact from beyond the line once again, scoring 12 of his 14 points from that range. Joshua Book followed with 13 points.

After an 0-2 weekend on the road this past week, the Wolves are tied for eighth in the conference standings, but will move up to tied for seventh in the seeding as Jamestown is in seventh, but cannot participate in the conference tournament.

Northern, 10-16 overall and 10-10 in the NSIC, hosts Mary on Thursday and concludes the regular season with a game at Minot State on Saturday. The Wolves can knock the Beavers out of playoffs with a win and solidify their spot in the top eight to guarantee hosting a play-in game.
