Aberdeen Central, on the strength of two victories, has moved into this week’s Class AA top five during this week’s Prep Media basketball polls.

The Golden Eagles, who did not receive a mention in last week’s preseason poll, are rated fifth this week.

A group of Northeast Conference squads continue in the same position as last week. The Hamlin is rated second in Class A boys, while Sisseton is rated second in Class A girls. Hamlin and Aberdeen Roncalli are both in the receiving votes category in Class A girls.

Castlewood is rated second in Class B boys, and Sully Buttes is fourth in Class B girls.

Top-rated squads are Sioux Falls Roosevelt in Class AA boys, Sioux Falls Christian in Class A boys, De Smet in Class B boys, O’Gorman in Class AA girls, Wagner in Class A girls, and Wall in Class B girls.
