Defending Class B state champion Castlewood has returned to the top spot in this week’s Prep Media boys’ basketball polls.

The Warriors, who started out the season as the number-one team, defeated last week’s top-rated team De Smet and are currently 13-2 on the season. De Smet, which also lost to Class A Sioux Valley last week, slipped to third with Viborg-Hurley moving from third to second.

Aberdeen Christian remains sixth in Class B, while Sully Buttes moved up one spot to ninth. Leola-Frederick is receiving votes.

In Class A, three Northeast Conference teams held on to their positions from last week with Clark-Willow Lake rated third, Hamlin fourth, and Groton ninth.

Other top rated teams are Sioux Falls Lincoln in Class AA, and West Central in Class A.
