Wings pull away from St. Cloud for weekend split

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The Aberdeen Wings scored four unanswered goals to turn back St. Cloud 5-2 in NAHL Hockey action Saturday night.

The Wings trailed 2-1 before taking control.

Easton Edwards tied the game in the second period, before Aberdeen scored three goals in the third to secure the win.

Owen Pitters put the Wings in front, and Anthony Ciaramitaro and Matthew Martin tacked on goals for the final margin of difference.

Pitters also assisted on Aberdeen’s first goal by David Hruby in the opening period.

Aberdeen outshot the Norsemen 36-32. Willum Braun had 30 saves for the Wings.

Aberdeen returns home for a weekend series against Bismarck at the Odde Ice Center. Puck drop is set for 7:15 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
