Northern State University head wrestling Josh Nolan announced the additions of 12 student-athletes on Monday. Wyatt Anderson (Ethan, S.D.), Grant Bahnsen (Houston, Texas), Harrison Dea (Morton, Ill.), Luke Farmen (Lincoln, Neb.), Aiden Graner (Plainview, Minn.), Holden Hawkins (Sisseton, S.D.), Brody Jakubowski (O’Neill, Neb.), Kane Larson (Preston, Minn.), Alex Oedekoven (Pierre, S.D.), Landyn Reiser (Crooks, S.D.), Joaquin Rodriguez (Ripon, Calif.), and Cody Westlake (Belgrade, Mont.) will join the Wolves in the fall of 2026.
“We are extremely excited about this class and what they are going to bring to our program,” explained Nolan. “All of these athletes are coming in with great experience and a hunger to continue to grow not only as individuals but as a team as well. This is a deep group that will look to make an impact for NSU wrestling as soon as they step on campus, and we can’t wait to get in their corners.”
Wyatt Anderson – 174, Ethan, S.D. / Parkston HS
Wyatt Anderson is a 174-pound wrestler out of Parkston High School. He is a 6-year starter and team captain for the Trojans under the direction of head coach Dan Bonte. Anderson has placed at the South Dakota State Meet in each of his last five seasons, finishes as high as second in 2025. Parkston placed top-5 at the State Dual Tournament in 2022 and 2025. He is the son of Darrah and Kristi Andreson.
Grant Bahnsen – 285, Houston, Texas / Clear Lake HS
Grant Bahnsen is a 285-pound wrestler out of Clear Lake High School. He is a 4-year starter and team captain for the Falcons under the direction of head coach Chris Hart. Bahnsen is a 2-time state placer, finishing sixth in 2024 and third in 2025. Bahnsen earned all-district outstanding wrestler honors and is a 2024 Regional Champion. In addition, he is a 5-time All-American for the Vici Wrestling Club. He is the son of Mathew and Merideth Bahnsen.
Harrison Dea – 133, Morton, Ill. / Morton HS
Harrison Dea is a 133-pound wrestler out of Morton High School. He is a 4-year starter and team captain for the Potters under the direction of head coach Ed Henderson. In his first three high school seasons, Dea posted a record of 101-24, with 56 victories by fall and 16 tech falls. He is a 3-time IHSA State placer, taking fifth in 2023 and 2025, while winning the freshman/sophomore state championship in 2024. In addition, Dea is a 2-time all-conference selection and 2-time Chuck Murdoch All-Area team member. He is the son of Kevin and Corrina Dea.
Luke Farmen – 141, Lincoln, Neb. / Lincoln Christian School
Luke Farmen is a 141-pound wrestler out of Lincoln Christian School. He is a 3-year starter and team captain for the Crusaders under the direction of head coach Collin Mink. Farmen is a state finalist in both Greco-Roman and Freestyle and a 2-time NSAA State medalist. He is 78-7 in his last two seasons and is a 3-time Fargo national qualifier. He is the son of Libby and Scott Farmen.
Aiden Graner – 157, Plainview, Minn. / Plainview-Elgin-Millville
Aiden Graner is a 157-pound wrestler out of Plainview-Elgin-Millville Community School. He is a 5-year starter and team captain for the Bulldogs under the direction of Mike Matiash. Graner has 175 career wins and is a 2-time state placer, finishing as the 2025 runner-up. He is an all-conference and all-state honoree. He is the son of Adam and Jessie Graner.
Holden Hawkins – 174, Sisseton, S.D. / Sisseton HS
Holden Hawkins is a 174-pound wrestler out of Sisseton High School. He is a 6-year starter and team captain for the Chieftain under the direction of head coach Kasey Metz. Hawkins holds a prep record of 225-35. He is a 4-time state placer, winning the South Dakota State Championship in 2025, and 6-time all-conference performer. Sisseton took eighth at the South Dakota State Meet in 2025. He is the son of Cyrus and Kayla Hawkins.
Brody Jakubowski – 285, O’Neill, Neb. / O’Neill HS
Brody Jakubowski is a 285-pound wrestler out of O’Neill High School. He is a 3-year starter and team captain for the Eagles under the direction of head coach Bryan Corkle. Jakubowski won conference and district championships in 2025, ultimately taking fourth at the Nebraska State Meet. He is an academic all-state honoree and a member of the NEUSAW National Dual Team. He is the son of Mike and Cindy Jakubowski.
Kane Larson – 184, Preston, Minn. / Fillmore Central
Kane Larson is a 184-pound wrestler out of Fillmore Central. He is a 6-year starter and team captain for the Falcons under the direction of head coach Blaise Sass. Larson holds a record of 170-32. He is a 5-time all-conference honoree, 3-time all-state member, and Minnesota State Champion. He is the son of Leigh and Jessica Larson.
Alex Oedekoven – 149, Pierre, S.D. / T.F. Riggs HS
Alex Oedekoven is a 149-pound wrestler out of T.F. Riggs High School. He is a 5-year starter and team captain for the Governors under the direction of head coach Shawn Lewis. Oedekoven is a 5-time state placer, including two runner-up finishes, and 5-time all-conference honoree. He was named the T.F. Riggs Athlete of the Year in 2024-25. The Governors won the South Dakota State Dual Championship in 2023. He is the son of Dusty and Jenn Oedekoven.
Landyn Reiser – 184, Crooks, S.D. / Tri-Valley HS
Landyn Reiser is a 184-pound wrestler out of Tri-Valley High School. He is a 6-year starter and team captain for the Mustangs under the direction of head coach Mike Gibson. In his last two seasons, Reiser went 83-12 with a pair of top-4 finishes at the state tournament. He placed fifth at the Rumble on the Red in 2026. In addition, Reiser is a 2-time all-conference selection. He is the son of John Reiser and Ashley Sanders.
Joaquin Rodriguez – 285, Ripon, Calif. / Ripon HS
Joaquin Rodriguez is a 285-pound wrestler out of Ripon High School. He is a 4-year starter and team captain for the Indians under the direction of head coaches Glen White and Trevor Smith. Rodriguez is a 3-time qualifier for the SAC-SJS Masters, taking third in 2024-25 and state qualifier in 2024-25. He went 35-16 a season ago. He is the son of Jose and Susana Rodriguez.
Cody Westlake – 125, Belgrade, Mont. / Belgrade HS
Cody Westlake is a 125-pound wrestler out of Belgrade High School. He is a 4-year starter and team captain for the Panthers under the direction of head coach Bryce Weatherston. Westlake is a 3-time Montana State Meet placer and 2-time state finalist. He is a 3-time all-state award winner in his first three seasons. In addition, Westlake is the 2024 Wet Regional Greco Champion. He is the son of Jeremy Westlake.
