Defending state champion Castlewood inched up to second in Class B in this week’s Prep Media boys’ basketball polls.
The Warriors, who received five first-place votes, are behind new number one De Smet, which has 13 first-place votes.
Last week’s top-rated team Viborg-Hurley dropped down to third this week. The Cougars received three first-place votes, while fourth-rated Freeman received the other first-place vote.
Aberdeen Christian continues to be rated sixth, and Sully Buttes is tenth. Leola-Frederick is receiving votes.
Clark-Willow Lake and Hamlin continue to be rated third and fourth, respectively in Class A, while Groton is ninth.
Other top-rated teams are Sioux Falls Lincoln in Class AA and West Central in Class A.
