The Northern State women’s basketball team kicked off I Hate Winter weekend with a thrilling 73-72 win over Sioux Falls Friday night at Wachs Arena.

The Wolves led 71-63 with 3:36 remaining before the Cougars scored nine unanswered points to take lead on a shot by former Sisseton standout Krista Langager with 51 seconds left.

Izzy Moore scored a game-high 25 points to power the Wolves. Regan Rus added 12 off the bench, Fiedler finished with 10, and Megan Counts contributed eight.

Langager paced the Cougars with 25 points and nine rebounds.
