MELLETTE – Northwestern bolted out to a 13-point first-quarter lead and picked up a 57-48 Lake Region Conference boys’ basketball win over Faulkton on Tuesday night.

Carson Ewalt scored 20 points to lead the Wildcats, who improved to 7-3. Ty Boekelheide contributed 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Faulkton received 18 points from Korbin Stark, and 15 from Spencer Melius.
