BISMARCK, N.D. – The Northern State men’s basketball team collected in second straight Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference win Thursday night, grabbing an 87-68 road win over Mary.

James Glenn nailed a 3-pointer 22 seconds into the contest to start a big night for him. He finished with 22 points on 6-of-10 shooting from behind the arc.

The Wolves made 11 three-point field goals total on the way to placing five players in double-figure scoring.

NSU trailed just briefly in the contest at 10-8 before a 9-0 later in the opening half gave the visitors a lead they never lost. Mary hung around in the second half, eventually slicing a double-digit down to five points, but the Wolves pulled away down to the stretch for the 19-point victory.

Simon Akena added 16 points to the Northern total, while Benjamin Bowen followed with 12, and Josh Book and Nelson Reynolds each contributed 11.

Northern, 2-5 overall and 2-0 in the NSIC, hosts Minot State on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Wachs Arena.
