Wolves fall to Wayne, head back Tuesday in NSIC tourney

WAYNE, Neb. – The Northern State volleyball team finished its regular season with a match against Wayne State on Saturday and will start its postseason against the same foe on Tuesday.

The Wolves lost at Wayne 25-17, 23-25, 25-19, 25-13 and will return to the same facility in a couple of days in the opening round of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament.

Linnea Nesheim had 16 kills to lead the Wolves. Ava Nilsson collected 41 set assists.

Northern heads into the NSIC tourney with a 19-9 record, while the Wildcats are 26-3.
