Redfield DQ sweeps Groton Locke Electric

GROTON – Redfield Dairy Queen collected an Amateur baseball doubleheader sweep over Groton Locke Electric, which included a ninth inning walk-off victory.

Redfield grabbed wins by 7-4 and 5-4 margins.

DQ had three straight hits in the ninth frame, including a game-winning RBI single from Bennett Osborn.

Groton led 3-0 early in the contest, before Redfield tied it with three runs in the fourth. The two sides each scored a run in the seventh forcing extra innings.

Nolan Gall had pair of hits for DQ, while Alex Morris and Wyatt Locke each had two for Locke Electric.

Redfield scored three runs in the top of the first to set the tone in the other contest, two of the runs scoring on Cooper Hainy’s double.

DQ pushed the lead to 6-1 in the top of the fourth, before Groton scored three unanswered runs to slice the deficit to 6-4. Redfield added an insurance run in the seventh.

Noah Hainy had three hits and Cooper Hainy had two for Redfield. Ryan Groeblinghoff topped Groton with a pair of hits.
