Sixth inning carries Circus past Northville Merchants

NORTHVILLE – Aberdeen Circus Sports Bar scored six runs in the sixth inning to help fuel a 10-3 Amateur baseball win over the Northville Merchants Tuesday night.

After WolfDon Thorson singled in a run to put Circus up in the top of the first, Northville scored all three of its runs in the bottom half of the frame with two runs coming across on bases-loaded walks and another on a bases-loaded hit by pitch.

Michael Babcock hit a solo home run in the fourth, setting up the pivotal sixth inning. Jaiden Smith had an RBI single, Babcock added a two-run single, and Kris Kwak blasted a three-run home run.

Babcock, Drew Salfrank, and Jaiden Smith each had two hits for Circus, which also took advantage of nine walks in the contest. Greg Heyne topped Northville with a pair of hits.
