Northville rolls to amateur win over Faulkton

FAULKTON – The Northville Merchants scored early and often en route to a 20-5 Amateur baseball win over the Faulkton Hitmen on Sunday.

Northville scored four runs in the first, five more in the second and tacked on eight in the fifth. The Merchants finished with 16 hits to go along with a dozen walks.

Greg Heyne and Ethan Beyers each had three hits for the Merchants, while Ben Fischbach followed with two. Heyne and Fischbach also drove in three runs apiece. Heyne and Beyers both had run-producing hits in each of the first two innings.

Layne Cotton plated a pair of runs for Faulkton with a double.
