
CLARK – Clark-Willow Lake received a pair of solid pitching performances in a split with Webster during American Legion baseball on Thursday. Tyson Huber tossed a no-hitter in a 2-0 setback, before Josh Kannegieter struck out 11 batters in a 10-1 victory in the second game.
Webster scored two runs in the fourth inning of its win. The visitors had three straight walks to start the frame, and then after two outs, Sheldon Schmidt drew a bases-loaded walk to plate Ian Lesnar, and Tate Mammenga drew a bases-loaded walk to score Brent Bearman.
Jack Shoemaker scattered three hits in the pitching win for Webster.
Clark-Willow Lake scored four runs in the third inning, and five runs in the fourth of the second contest.
Ky Vandersnick, Max Bratland, Waylan Olson, and Cooper Pommer all had RBI hits in the third inning. Jakob Steen and Charlie Luvaas both drove in runs with singles in the fourth.
Vandersnick finished with three hits in the second game.

GROTON – Groton took advantage of eight walks and seven stolen bases on the way to a 5-2 win over Castlewood.
Groton’s Teylor Diegel walked and eventually scored in the first inning, and had an RBI single in the second.
Diegel also walked and scored on a wild pitch in the third inning.

Gavin Englund went the distance on the mound, striking out nine batters.

Sisseton 13, Redfield 2
REDFIELD – Sisseton pieced together 15 hits and took advantage of seven errors in a 13-2 win over Redfield.
Sisseton set the tone with five runs in the top of the first inning. Max Dahlen had an RBI single, Reggie Lincoln added a two-run single, and LJ Crooks also had an RBI single in the frame.
Lincoln provided another two-run single in a three-run fourth, and Bradley Hansen added a two-run triple to highlight a five-run fifth.
Zach Bonin and Kevin Weller had run-producing hits for Redfield’s two runs in the bottom of the fourth.
Carter Stickland finished with three hits to lead Sisseton, and Dahlen, Rylan Anderson, Lincoln, and Hansen each had a pair.
Jacksan Rude had two hits for Redfield.

DELL RAPIDS – Dell Rapids scored six runs on just three hits in a 6-2 victory over Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern.
W-I-N scored single runs in each of the first two innings to take a quick lead. Devon Fischbach scored on a passed ball in the first inning, and drove in a run in the second frame.
Dell Rapids scored five times in the third inning. Cole Ruesink started the uprising with an RBI triple. Two other runs scored on a wild pitch and a passed ball.

MILBANK – Reese Rabe struck out nine batters and tossed a five-inning no-hitter in an 8-0 win over the Claremont Honkers Thursday night.
Milbank scored single runs in the second, third and fourth innings, and then broke the game open with a five-run fifth frame.
Aiden Kelly had an RBI double in the third, Rabe added an RBI double in the fourth, and Mason Meister drove in a run in the fifth.
