Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern rallies past Redfield

NORTHVILLE – Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern overcame an early four-run deficit to collect an 11-4 high school baseball win over the Redfield Muskrats Monday night.

Redfield scored four two-out runs without a hit in the top of the first inning. Three walks, a hit batter, two wild pitches and an error accounted for the scoring.

W-I-N responded by scoring 11 unanswered runs the remainder of the contest.

Beckett Halverson had an RBI single in the second inning, Mac Heinz delivered a run-scoring single in the third, Halverson plated two-more with a single in the fifth frame.

Alec Mikkelsen and Halverson both had a pair of hits to lead W-I-N, and Halvorson finished with three RBI.
