LENNOX – Aberdeen Roncalli won its share of close matches to pick up two more dual wins in tennis action on Saturday. The Cavaliers defeated Lennox 6-3 and blanked Madison 9-0. Roncalli concluded its weekend trip by winning four of five total duals, securing wins over Spearfish and Vermillion on Friday.

The Cavaliers won five tiebreakers against Lennox, however they did drop four breakers and also lost a super-tiebreaker in the hard-fought dual.

Roncalli had just two total matches against the Orioles that did not involve a tiebreaker.

The Cavaliers won the bottom four singles flights and the bottom two doubles flights to secure the victory.

Ben Goebel, Caleb Stoks, and Liam Voehl each went undefeated on the day winning two singles matches and two doubles matches.

Roncalli returns to action on Tuesday, facing cross-town foe Aberdeen Central in a dual set for 4 p.m.
