EUREKA – Potter County edged a tight field to win the boys’ team championship, while Mobridge-Pollock rolled to the girls’ team crown during the Eureka Invitational golf tournament on Saturday.
Potter County shot a team score of 249, two strokes better than Edmunds Central with a 251. Timber Lake was right behind with a 252, and Sully Buttes was fourth with a 253.
Timber Lake’s Hadley Thompson was the medalist with a 75, one stroke ahead of Gavin Colson of Sully Buttes.
Mobridge-Pollock won the girls’ title with a 278, 21 strokes better than runner-up Selby Area.
Taryn Hettick of Selby Area was the medalist with an 83. Brooke Schlomer of Mobridge-Pollock was second with an 88, and Ipswich’s Mollie Simon was third with a 94.
