Milbank holds off Clark rally for amateur victory

MILBANK – The Milbank Firechiefs built a four-run advantage and then turned back the Clark Traders for a 4-3 amateur baseball victory Sunday afternoon.

Tyler Krause put Milbank up one with an RBI single in the second inning, before the Firechiefs tacked on three runs in the fourth as Brady Fleming and Mitch Quade drove in runs with hits.

Clark rallied with a run in the sixth and two more in the seventh on a two-run double from Grayson Florey, but it wasn’t enough.

Taylor Boerger struck out seven batters for Milbank, before Dom Boerger came on in relief in the eighth and struck out four.
