Englund powers Groton to win over Redfield

REDFIELD – Gavin Englund had a pair of doubles and drove in four runs as Groton defeated Redfield 9-4 in high school baseball action Wednesday night.

Englund plated a pair in the top of the first inning with his first double of the contest. He added a run-producing double in the fourth, and then brought in Groton’s final run of the night with a sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning when the visitors scored four times.

Jacksan Rude had a two-run single for Redfield in the fifth. Chace Odland had two RBI singles for the Muskrats, who left the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh.

T.C. Schuster also had two hits for Groton, while Odland, Micah Zastrow and Tate Neuharth each had a pair of hits for Redfield.
