Athletes from Aberdeen Central moved up the Class AA track and field leaderboard this past week following the Howard Wood Dakota Relays.
Mya Arampatzis took over the top spot in the 100-meter hurdles after twice breaking the school record in the event last weekend. She broke a 19-year-old mark on Friday, before topping her own school record on Saturday. Meanwhile, Taryn Hermansen also broke her own school record in the shot put and once again tops that event this week.
Laura Rife has moved into fourth in the 100-meter dash, Arampatzis has climbed into the fifth spot in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles, the Golden Eagles relay team is now sixth in the 800-meter relay, and Jaidyn Forsyth is fourth in the pole vault.
On the boys’ side, Kyson Fayant remains second in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles, and Joran Foss is third in the shot put.

Central’s 1,600-meter relay squad is fifth, and the 400-meter relay team currently has the seventh best time.
