LEOLA – The Britton-Hecla boys and Leola girls each had medalists and won team championships at the Leola Invitational golf tournament on Tuesday.
Lofton Heer of Britton-Hecla shot a nine-hole total of 42 to edge teammate Jace Rein by one stroke to earn boys’ medalist honors. Wyatt Hauger of Herreid was just two strokes off the pace.
Teagan Weiszhaar of Leola fired a nine-hole total of 47 to win the girls’ medalist. McKenna Heer of Britton-Hecla was second with a 53.
