BRANDON – Brandon Valley slugged six home runs on the way to a 15-0 win over Aberdeen Central in Eastern South Dakota Conference softball action on Thursday.

Gabriel Kriech accounted for half of those home runs, hitting a two-run homer in the first, adding a solo home run in the second, and ending the contest with a two-run homer in the third.

Peyton Amdahl had a pair of home runs for the Lynx, who improved to 11-3 on the season.

The hosts ended up with four two-run hits in the opening inning.

“Brandon Valley is a great hitting team and came out of the gates hot,” said Central coach Cassidy Neer. “We couldn’t get settled and fell too far behind to get back in it.”

While the Golden Eagles did not have a hit, Avery Bendewald reached on a walk before being erased on a double play.

Central plays host to O’Gorman on Monday and Harrisburg on Tuesday. While those games are scheduled for Koehler Hall of Fame Field, they will be moved inside the Aberdeen Dome if the weather warrants it.
