VOLGA – Sioux Valley scored a dozen runs over three innings on the way to a 12-2 high school baseball win over Redfield on Thursday.
The hosts plated six runs in the bottom of the third inning on just three hits, one a two-run double by Trentyn Schmit.
After Redfield responded with two runs in the top of the fourth thanks to an error, Sioux Valley regained the momentum with a pair of three-run innings to end the game in the fifth.
Levi Loban and Ethan Axtell each had two hits to top Sioux Valley, while Jacksan Rude finished with a pair of hits for the Muskrats.
