De SMET – Northwestern’s Ella Boekelheide won a pair of events while Sioux Valley swept the team titles at the De Smet Invitational track and field meet on Thursday.
Boekelheide won the 800-meter and 1,600-meter runs on the day. Clark-Willow Lake captured the girls’ 400-meter relay and 3,200-meter relay.
In the boys’ division, Castlewood’s Brody Bass won the 300-meter intermediate hurdles, Brooks McPeak of Highmore-Harrold won the 1,600-meter run, and Clark-Willow Lake’s Michael Severson topped the field in the shot put.
Ty Boekelheide of Northwestern was runner-up in the triple jump and finished third in the long jump.
