NSU left out of Central Region volleyball tourney

Pairings were announced for the NCAA Division II regional volleyball tournaments on Tuesday.

Northern State did not make the eight-team field in the Central Region. Fellow Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference member Wayne State was also left out of the tourney.

NSIC champion St. Cloud State is the number one seed and will face Ouachita Baptist in the opening round. Concordia-St. Paul is the fourth seed and will take on Missouri Western. Southwest Minnesota State made the tourney as a seventh seed and will play Central Oklahoma, and third-seeded Nebraska Kearney plays against Washburn.

The tournament runs Dec. 5-7.
