GETTYSBURG – North Central claimed five of the top eight places to win the boys’ team championship, while Herreid-Selby Area topped the field in the girls’ division during the Region 4B Cross Country Meet on Wednesday.
Gavin Hirsch of Herreid-Selby Area and Kendal Uttecht of Wolsey-Wessington won individual championships.
Drew Arbach led the delegation of North Central runners with a runner-up finish. Teammates close behind were Aaron Ingerson in fourth, Avery Wells in fifth, Jason Arbach in sixth, and Noah Ingerson in eighth.
Hoven’s Dannika Kaup finished second in the girls’ race with Autumn Fallis of Highmore-Harrold in third.
