The Aberdeen Wings scored early and often on the way to an 8-2 win over the Minnesota Mallards Saturday night in NAHL hockey at the Odde Ice Center.

Sam Scheetz, who scored three goals on Friday night, scored Aberdeen’s first two goals on Saturday. Owen Pitters and Caden Lee also found the back of the net in a four-goal opening period for the Wings.

Brody Dustin and Jibber Kuhl both scored in the second period, before Pitters and Dustin both tacked on goals in the final period.

Lee and Pitters each also had three assists.

The Wings outshot Minnesota 40-24 in the contest. Adam Dybal had 21 saves in goal for Aberdeen.

The Wings will host Austin for two games this coming weekend. Austin is currently tied with Bismarck for the lead in the Central Division, two points ahead of Aberdeen. Puck drop is set for 7:15 nightly Friday and Saturday at the Odde Ice Center.
