The Aberdeen Wings had a big advantage in shots on goal, but Austin maintained the advantage on the scoreboard Saturday night at the Odde Ice Center.

The visiting Bruins picked up a 5-3 NAHL victory thanks to three unanswered goals in the contest.

Aberdeen received goals from Cooper Anderson in the second period with assists from Briggs Orr and Easton Edwards.

Jack McDonough scored a goal to start the third on an assist from Brody Dustin, but the Bruins responded. Sam Scheetz found the back of the net with assists from Jonathan Doucette and Matthew Martin, to once again close the deficit to one, before Austin had an empty-netter to account for the final margin of difference.

The Wings outshot Austin 38-22, including 18-8 in the third period.

Aberdeen takes to the road next weekend with games at North Iowa.
