Aberdeen Central, on the strength of back-to-back victories to open the season, is now among the top five teams in this week’s Prep Media Class AA girls’ basketball poll.
The Golden Eagles are rated fifth, replacing last week’s fifth-rated team Rapid City Stevens, a team that Central defeated last Saturday.
Hamlin continues to be rated third in Class A, while Mobridge-Pollock remained eighth. Aberdeen Roncalli and Miller are receiving votes.
Brandon Valley is a unanimous number one in Class AA.
Mahpiya Luta is the new number one in Class A after Sioux Falls Christian lost last week, and Bennett County and Sanborn Central-Woonsocket are tied for first in Class B after Bennett County lost to Class A Lakota Tech last week.
