GETTYSBURG – Aberdeen Christian has spent plenty of time away from home this volleyball season, and ended that journey with a sweep on Tuesday night.

The Knights recorded their third sweep in less than a week with a 25-16, 25-11, 25-11 non-conference win over Gettysburg. It marked Christian’s second win over the Battlers in the past 10 days, having defeated them in a best-of-3 match at a tourney in Redfield earlier this month.

Arianna Johnson had a big match, leading the Knights with 17 kills to go along with three aces, and six blocks.

Sophia Eichler also had three aces for Christian, while Sawyer Schwan racked up 36 set assists.

The Knights, 11-8 on the season, will now close out the regular season with four straight home matches. The first one will take place Thursday when Leola-Frederick comes to the Christian School Gym. Home matches next week include Webster on Monday, Ipswich on Tuesday, and Ellendale, N.D. on Friday.
