There was some shifting among the top-rated teams in this week’s Prep Media football polls.
Yankton is the new top team in Class 11AA after last week’s number one Pierre lost to Huron. Freeman-Marion-Freeman Academy took over the top spot in Class 9AA after beating last week’s number one Elkton-Lake Benton.
Among the area teams, Sully Buttes continues to top Class 9B, with Faulkton up to fourth and Herreid-Selby Area in fifth after Faulkton stopped the Wolverines last week. Warner continues to be rated second in Class 9A with Ipswich in the receiving votes category.
Hamlin continues to be rated second in Class 9AA, and Mobridge-Pollock is receiving votes in Class 11B, just outside the top five.
