Locke powers Groton girls past Belle Fourche

GROTON – Jerica Locke scored five goals and assisted on two others as Groton rolled to an 8-0 girls’ soccer victory over Belle Fourche on Friday.

The senior scored a pair of goals in the first six minutes of the contest to set the tone, then found the back of the net three more times in the second half. She also assisted on goals by McKenna Tietz and Brenna Imrie.

Tietz also had an assistant on one of Locke’s goals. Sydney Locke had Groton’s other goal.

The Tigers will face St. Thomas More at 11 this morning at the NSU Pavilion.
