Groton boys’ soccer team captures weekend sweep

HOT SPRINGS – Groton dominated its second boys’ soccer foe in as many days Saturday, picking up a 5-1 victory over Hot Springs. The Tigers blanked Custer 6-0 on Friday.

Karson Zak led the win over Hot Springs with three goals. Ethan Kroll had the other two goals and also added an assist.

Easton Weber and Axel Abeln each had an assist for the Tigers.

Groton will host Belle Fourche on Friday, before taking on St. Thomas More at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dacotah Bank Stadium on the campus of Northern State.
