All three defending state champions start out the season on top of their respective classes in the first Prep Media volleyball polls.
Harrisburg in Class AA and Chester Area in Class B are unanimous selections, while Dell Rapids received all but one first place vote in Class A, the other going to perennial power Sioux Falls Christian.
Warner is rated second, Northwestern third, and Hitchcock-Tulare fourth in Class B, with Castlewood receiving votes.
Miller is rated fourth in Class A and Hamlin is fifth.
Aberdeen Central is receiving votes in Class AA.
