Redfield DQ blanks Northville Merchants in doubleheader sweep

REDFIELD – Redfield Dairy Queen pitchers allowed just five hits over 14 innings on the way to an Amateur baseball twinbill sweep over Northville Merchants on Sunday.

Peyton Osborn went the distance, striking out three and giving up four hits in a 5-0 victory. Nolan Gall and Noah Hainy combined on a one-hitter in a 6-0 win. Gall struck out eight batters in five innings, while Hainy fanned three in two innings of work.

Camden Osborn had a two-run single, followed by an Owen Osborn RBI hit in one game.

Owen Osborn had two hits for DQ, while Greg Heyne had two for Northville.

Redfield scored five runs in the fourth inning of the other game on just one hit. The Merchants committed six errors in that contest.
