NORTHVILLE – Xavier Kadlec had a big night at the plate, on the base paths, and on the mound to lead Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern to a 10-0 win over Redfield in American Legion baseball Thursday evening.

Kadlec finished with two hits, including a triple, drove in a run, and scored three times. He also allowed just one hit over five innings, walking three and striking out three.

Kadlec tripled in the first inning and scored on a ground out.

Kadlec led off a four-run third inning with a single, moved up on a wild pitch and passed ball, and scored on a ground out. W-I-N added three more runs on just one hit the rest of the frame.

The hosts evoked the 10-run rule in the fifth as Devon Fischbach drove in a pair with a single, and later stole home. Kadlec ended the game when he scored on a wild pitch.
