NORTHVILLE – Aberdeen Circus Sports Bar scored nine unanswered runs on the way to a 16-13 win over Redfield Dairy Queen in Amateur baseball action Tuesday night.
Circus, which trailed 8-7 at one stage, scored a dozen two-out runs in the victory.
Aberdeen scored six runs in the seventh inning to break open a tight game and take a commanding 16-8 lead. Jaiden Smith had a solo home run, Josh Steinwandt added a two-run single, Rhett Florey plated one with a double, and a pair of runs scored on bases-loaded walks.
Dairy Queen made things interesting with five runs in the top of the ninth on five hits. Owen Osborn had an RBI triple, Cooper Hainy and Keith Gall each drove in runs with singles, one run scored on a fielder’s choice, and Noah Hainy had a sacrifice fly.
DQ struck first with a run in the top of the first inning, before Kris Kwak had a grand-slam homer in the bottom half of the frame.
Redfield eventually surged ahead 5-4 in the top of the fourth, only to have Circus hit another home run, this time a three-run shot by Casey Vining in the bottom of the inning to put Aberdeen back in front 7-5.

DQ jumped ahead again with three runs in the top of the fifth. Osborn delivered a sac fly and two runs scored on errors. That’s when Circus scored nine straight, the first three runs on an error and a wild pitch, setting up the seventh-inning uprising.
Vining, Florey, and Jesse Babcock each had two hits for Aberdeen. Kwak drove in four, Vining three, and Smith and Steinwandt two apiece.
Nolan Gall and Keith Gall had three hits each to lead Redfield, while Nathan Hainy added two. Osborn and Keith Gall each drove in a pair.
